Cathy Newman, AuD
Audiologist
Dr. Newman joins our practice with many years of diverse clinical audiology experience. She received her master’s degree in Audiology from Washington State University and completed her Doctor of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2010. She has served a pediatric through geriatric population including hearing aid fitting and dispensing throughout her career.
She holds certification through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, the American Academy of Audiology and holds an Audiology license to practice in the state of Florida.
Cathy endeavors to deliver quality, professional and compassionate services to the hearing impaired population she serves. She actively continues her education through training sessions to enhance her clinical skills and knowledge of hearing aid technology advances.
She is a volunteer at her church with community outreach, loves to travel, and is involved in a functional medicine group that promotes healthy living.
Barett St. Germain, RCL
Barett St. Germain is a Licensed Hearing Aid Specialist originally from the State of Minnesota. He Joined the United States Navy out of high school and served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise aircraft carrier for four years while stationed in Alameda, CA. He graduated from the University of Santa Barabara with a Bachelor of the Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications.
In 2001 he acquired a Hearing Aid Clinic in California, focusing on hearing evaluation, treatment, and aural rehabilitation. He has over 20 years of experience in both clinical private and corporate practice and is licensed in three states. Barett moved from California to Florida in 2022 and continues to serve the hearing-impaired community. He’s happily married, raising a son & daughter and enjoys traveling and beach time with the family. Barett is determined on improving the quality of life of each of his patients by offering the highest quality of hearing health care with a tailor-made prescriptive treatment plan.
Ben J. Brody
HAS, BC-HIS
Since 2002, Ben has been a Florida Licensed Hearing Aid Specialist and, since 2004, has been Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences. From 2019-2021 he served as President of the Florida Society of Hearing Healthcare Professionals and has been a member of their board for over 8 years.
Ben hopes to continue to improve the professional services the industry provides through education and active participation in the International Hearing Society initiatives. Helping the hearing-impaired community of Southwest Florida to improve their quality of life is what Ben continues to do every day.
Chris Ela
Hearing Clinician
Chris Ela is a native of New Hampshire. He has lived in Cape Coral since 2007, where he lives with his wife and beautiful daughter, Kadence. Chris enjoys golfing, boating and fishing. He has a deep compassion for patients suffering with Tinnitus and loves to help people live a more fulfilling life.
Michelle Benn, HAS
Hearing Aid Specialist
Michelle graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science. She slowly made her way south through Florida, enjoying it’s beauty in Clearwater, Lake Okeechobee and Sarasota. She was drawn back to her home town of Ft. Myers. Michelle enjoys any day on a golf course no matter what her score is, and any day fishing, boating or beaching it on our beautiful waters here. Being positive and kind to others is a core belief of Michelle’s.
Stephanie Rubi Williams
Patient Services Coordinator
Stephanie Rubi is a Patient Services Coordinator. She is originally from (and moved to Fort Myers, FL in 2004. Stephanie attended Cypress Lake High School and started working at Hoglund Family Hearing and Audiology Centers in 2021. Stephanie began working in the hearing industry in 2021 and was drawn to the profession because she has a passion to help others.
What Stephanie loves most about saving hearing lives is seeing patients’ lives change for the better. She strives to assist as many people as she can every day in her work with patients.
Outside of saving hearing lives, Stephanie loves hobbies such as reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
